Dot and Cheyenne. Sisters in spirit, opposites in almost everything else.

Dot

Dot is high energy and “all in” on everything. She never misses an opportunity to fully experience life. She is as rough and tumble as she is cuddly, incredibly loyal but independent, and very smart. I have seen her watch me open the patio door and then walk over and try to imitate my hand movement with her paw. She is extremely treat motivated and will try anything. I can't eat salad, carrots, strawberries, peaches, cantaloupe, watermelon, ice cubes (the list is endless) without sharing small amounts. She gulps down everything. As adventurous as she is, water is not her thing. She barely dips her toes in the lake before jumping back to the safety of land. All this activity requires the most rejuvenating sleep which apparently is achieved upside down and twisted like a pretzel.

Cheyenne

Litter: October 2023

Cheyenne is very independent and will play by herself if no one else is available. She is my shadow in everything I do, bringing her easygoing nature and happy attitude toward life to those around her. While not as much of a critical thinker as her sister, she is extremely obedient and good natured. She is hesitant and cautious when it comes to trying new things, but once she is confident treats are “safe”, she savours them. Considering her concern with self preservation, I was surprised to find that she loves the water. She hasn't swam yet but has played in the water on a beach and genuinely enjoyed it. Although she is a little shy of some things, she's no pushover and will stand her ground with Dot. She has a beautiful smile often fully exposing her lower teeth, but she can close her mouth with them hidden.
